Keynote
Anxiety is often treated as a problem to be diagnosed, fixed, or managed. But anxiety is also a messenger. It signals when something feels too much, too unpredictable, or too lonely. This talk explores anxiety not as a disorder to be eliminated, but as a form of communication. Drawing on neuroscience and clinical practice, we will consider what anxiety may be signalling about cognitive load, identity, and belonging. By shifting from management to meaning, educators and school-based health professionals can respond in ways that foster safety, connection, and hope.
